Welcome to Spinnaker Inn

Spinnaker Inn stands as a charming retreat nestled in the heart of historic Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. This 1836 clapboard house, conveniently located at 126 Montague Street, offers visitors a blend of classic maritime character and modern comforts. With a solid rating of 4.3, guests consistently highlight its inviting atmosphere, friendly staff, and stunning harbour views that capture the essence of the town’s waterfront charm.

Guests speak warmly of the inn’s clean, well-appointed rooms that open to picturesque vistas of the bay. While the historic structure means soundproofing is not as robust as in newer hotels, this slight trade-off only adds a layer of authenticity and intimacy that guests appreciate. Visitors find the inn ideal for peaceful stays, enhanced by amenities like free Wi-Fi, complimentary parking, and a smoke-free environment, catering to both families and solo travelers seeking relaxation and connectivity.

Spinnaker Inn goes beyond lodging by placing guests steps away from local highlights—across from a delightful ice cream shop and an art gallery, mere blocks from the waterfront and the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic. Such proximity immerses visitors in the vibrant culture and history of Lunenburg, enriching their experience beyond the room.

The brand’s surrounding culinary scene further elevates the stay. Visitors often mention dining at nearby spots like The Salt Shaker Inn, known for exceptional seafood and engaging conversation, or the Beach and Pea Bar and Grill, praised for its inviting atmosphere and memorable dishes. These local flavors complement the inn’s warm hospitality, creating a holistic and satisfying stay.

Ultimately, Spinnaker Inn strikes a delicate balance between historic allure and modern hospitality. It invites guests to experience Lunenburg’s harbor charm firsthand while enjoying comfortable accommodations and genuine friendliness. For travelers who seek a grounded, scenic, and culturally rich stay, this inn delivers with authenticity and heart.

Clean room with a nice view of the bay. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the walls aren't as soundproof as newer places (the building is older). It was quite easy to hear the TV or people talking in the adjacent rooms. Even with that, I would definitely stay there again.
